Translational Computing - 2008 Refresh

At present we are giving focus to our refreshed webpages on "Translational Computing".

Translational Computing is a novel mechanism for ‘translating’ advanced domain knowledge of any subject into widely-deployable IT applications - to solve difficult problems. It was originally devised in response to a 2006 Government consultation looking for novel ways to exploit the power of IT in knowledge-based industry development. Translational Computing emphasises development of reusable IT service components and partnering with companies and government agencies supporting global IT standards to create export opportunities through advanced knowledge encapsulation (see figure).
